1) Live XQuery Tutorials in DC, Chicago, Houston, London & Amsterdam

New to XQuery? XQuery offers great promise to enterprise IT architects and developers.

This workshop introduces an approach to data services based on XML and XQuery and is based on a typical scenario where a hypothetical IT organization needs to create a set of data services exposing various functionality. During this hands-on workshop we will be writing, testing and deploying a real XML and XQuery-based solution live in front of the audience.

The Workshop covers:

  • Transforming XML documents into user-defined formats
  • Aggregating XML documents with relational data
  • Consuming Web services in XQuery
  • Exposing XQuery as data services
  • Integrating with non-XML B2B standards, like EDI
  • Adhering to XML industry standards, such as ACORD for insurance

XQJ Goes to Final Approval

The XQJ specification (JSR 225) has been submitted to the JCP for final approval. The Final Approval Ballot lasts from February 19 until March 3.
