2. DataDirect XQuery® Tip
Did you know that both Stylus Studio 6 DataDirect XQuery® beta edition and XML Editor for Eclipse (DataDirect Edition) can generate code to run an XQuery and return the results?
Try it out! In Stylus Studio, make sure DataDirect XQuery® is selected as your XQuery processor; then, select XQuery / Generate Java Code. From Eclipse, select XQuery / Export 2 Java. Both techniques will create a basic program that includes Java and XQuery for Java API (XQJ) code. You can use this program as a starting point to write more sophisticated programs that use both XQJ and XQuery.
3. From Our Beta Participants
Our beta participants are using DataDirect XQuery® to solve several XML-relational struggles. Here’s what some of them are saying:
"... DataDirect XQuery® eliminates several layers of work between our relational databases and web pages, saves a lot of development time ..."
"... DataDirect XQuery® is helping me integrate my internet product ordering web service with data from my Oracle and DB2 databases ..."
"... We are integrating ACORD messages with the data from our Oracle database using DataDirect XQuery®..."
"…We are using DataDirect XQuery® as a generic data query tier to separate data access from individual database implementations because we have Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL Server..."
"... DataDirect XQuery® assists us with ETL and our Basel II – Operational Risk compliance..."
