DataDirect XQuery

DataDirect Data Integration Suite includes DataDirect XQuery, an easily embeddable Java component that implements XQuery 1.0 and the XQuery API for Java (XQJ), supporting connectivity with all major relational databases including Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase and others.

Version 3.1 offers many exciting enhancements such as expanded database support including XQuery support added for MySQL (Enterprise version) and additional databases such as Oracle 11, Informix, and PostgreSQL.

This version also increases developer productivity with the direct support of ZIP files containing XML documents and the ability to transparently generate EDI as output of an XQuery using DataDirect XML Converters. DataDirect XQuery 3.1 also enhances Web service integration with a simplified approach to leveraging XQuery in service-oriented architectures.

DataDirect XML Converters

Also included in the product suite are DataDirect XML Converters, embeddable Java and .NET components that provide bioconversion between XML and non-XML data sources such as EDI, X12, EDIG@S, HL7, EDIFACT, CSV or any other legacy data format.

Highlights of version 3.2 inculdes EDI support for the latest versions of the X12, HL7, and IATA vertical standards, and EDIG@S support. EDIG@S is an EDI standard based on the European subset of EDIFACT, used by gas companies to exchange vast amounts of information to handle dispatch and operational information. DataDirect XML Converters now support the transformation of EDIG@S messages into other EDI messages, such as EDIFACT, or into XML and vice-versa, enabling exchange of energy information.

DataDirect Stylus Studio 2008

Finally, the Data Integration Suite offers an award-winning XML integrated development environment, Stylus Studio XML Enterprise Suite, used by over a million registered users worldwide. The development environment features productive tools to map, convert, publish and validate any data source.

Stylus Studio 2008 Release 2 includes an array of functional highlights, including C# code generation for Microsoft .NET, dramatically simplified Java code, a new Web Service Description Language (WSDL) Editor. In addition to many other functional augmentations, Stylus Studio is now bundled with DataDirect XQuery and DataDirect XML Converters, providing a completely integrated XML development environment.
