Do I need to purchase the DataDirect JDBC driver also?No. DataDirect XQuery® and DataDirect Data Integration Suite provide an XQuery engine as well as XQJ API implementation. DataDirect XQuery® embeds the DataDirect JDBC drivers as part of the product for relational access. Is there a developer version of DataDirect XQuery® or DataDirect Data Integration Suite that I can use for my POC?Yes, a developer version is available should you need more time to work on your proof of concept than the evaluation license provides.
